Meet Weronika! Weronika joined collectionHQ in 2023 as an Implementation and Support Engineer. Weronika is a data expert and works hard to analyze large volumes of customer data, developing scripts to transform and integrate this data into collectionHQ. She also provides support to collectionHQ users.
Unsurprisingly as a data analyst, Weronika loves detective stories, and her favorite book is “Murder on the Orient Express” by Agatha Christie.
Hi Weronika! You’ve worked with services that support libraries for several years now. What is it that you love most about working with libraries?
I love the fact that I’m taking part in the process where collectionHQ is helping libraries optimize their collections. It’s incredibly fulfilling to contribute to the modernization of libraries, so they can provide the greatest benefit to their communities.
What is your happiest memory of the library?
As a child, one of my best memories at the library was centered around “The Six Bullerby Children” by Astrid Lindgren. I was in the library nearly every week, borrowing different books but I kept coming back to this one. I must have read it about ten times in the span of a year. Then, one day, a dedicated librarian who was always there noticed my enthusiasm for this book and allowed me to keep my favorite title.
Her gesture not only made my day but also helped me gain a deeper connection with the library, made me return, and borrow from the collection even more!
What a heart-warming story! Reading and libraries really do provide the perfect escape for children and adults alike. If you could choose one book to live in, which one would it be?
I’d be torn between “Up: My Life’s Journey to the Top of Everest” because it’s always been my dream to attempt climbing the world’s highest mountain in the world. Also, “Peter Pan”, as I would love to spend a day in a magical Neverland.
And finally, choose one literary character you want on your team during a zombie apocalypse and explain why.
I would choose Harry Potter as a valuable addition to my team. His combination of powerful magic and intelligence makes him an ideal ally.
