Hi Grace! Can you tell us what you love most about working with libraries?

Before, as a library user, the process of checking out and returning books seemed simple. Now that I work closely with libraries, I have learned that it involves a lot of administration and decisions so that users can access interesting material. I love having this new perspective of what goes on in libraries behind the scenes.

You’re right, librarians make so many important decisions every day to provide the right material to their readers. What book would you hope to find on the shelves at your local library?

My favorite book is The Decagon House Murder by Yukito Ayatsuji. This is the book that introduced me to the Japanese detective story, specifically the Shin Honkaku Mysteries which I love!

Tell us about your happiest memory of the library.

My fondest memory of the library is as a place to meet friends, hang out, and read on the beanbags.

Libraries are a great spot for young people to gather! Finally, if you had to choose one book to live in, which one would it be?

Preferably not one of the books that I like to read (Crime and Detective)! An adventure story set in a world where dragons exist seems really cool, maybe one of the Dungeons & Dragons books!

We love your sense of adventure, Grace! Thank you for speaking with us and for being a valued member of the team.
