Sustainable Shelves at EPL

Tim Longo, Head of Access Services and Betsy Bird, Collection Development Manager at the Evanston Public Library in Illinois discuss how the Sustainable Shelves Program (SSP) has helped to create a more manageable and responsible weeding process. Tim shares how books resold through the SSP provided the library with a software credit to almost cover the cost of its subscription to ESP.

Key Benefits

The adoption of collectionHQ has helped this library to:

  • Manage weeding responsibly.
  • Receive a return on discarded items.
  • Maintain an appealing, circulating collection.
